Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi district, being twin city of Islamabad and the biggest city of Rawalpindi Division (Range) with respect to population, is the most important district of this Division (Range). At present, the District Police Rawalpindi is headed by SSP/CPO Afzaal Ahmed Kausar. For its operation, investigation and 02 separate officers of the rank of SSPs each working as aides of the CPO. The district is further divided into three division (in Police terminology) i.e Potohar, Saddar and Rawal, each headed by SP. Each of these Division is then divided into 11 circles; each led by an officer of the rank of A/DSP. There are ¾ Police Stations in each circle; but the most vulnerable position at the same time each supervised by an SHO of the rank of Inspector/Sub Inspector.

Owing to its location, the Rawalpindi district enjoys vital.

In addition to this, the District Police is further supported by Elite Police Force, CTD, Special Branch, PHP and Traffic Police for its operational activities. Head of these specialized units are responsible to the IGP/PPO Punjab.  

Attock

The District Police Attock is yet very important unit of Rawalpindi Region (Division), as the revenue area of this district is lying quite adjacent to the KPK province. Fourteen Police Stations of District Attock have been squeezed into 06 circles; each headed by an A/DSP.

At present SSP Abadat Nisar is working as District Police Officer Attock. For its operational activities other Police’s wings i.e PHP (Punjab Highway Petrol), EPF (Elite Police Force), Traffic Police, SB (Special Branch), CTD (Counter Terrorism Department; each headed by an officer for the rank of DSP provide necessary support to the District Police.

Chakwal

District Chakwal is yet another constituent of Rawalpindi Region (Division). There are 04 circles each supervised by A/DSP; each circle further divided into eleven Police Stations. Each Police Station is headed by a Station House Officer (SHO) of the rank of Inspector/ Sub Inspector. For its operational activities, the District Police is supported by  PHP, Traffic Police, EPF, SB, and CTD. Heads of these specialized units are answerable to the Concerning DPO or the PPO/IGP Punjab (PHP, CTD, EPF, SB).

Jhelum

The District Police Jhelum is the 4th unit of Rawalpindi Region (Division). The Police is divided into eleven Police Stations and 04 circles. Each Circle headboundry  A/DSP and Police Station by an SHO,(IP/Sub Inspector). Currently Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Qaiserani is the DPO Jhelum. Specialized units of Punjab Police i.e PHP, Traffic Police, EPF, SB and CTD constantly provide necessary professional support to the District Police in area of their specialization, Heads of these units are officers of the ranks of DSsP and are answerable to the concerned DPO or the RPO/IGP of the Punjab Province.
